Disney Is Going to Bermuda…and This One Has My Attention!

There aren’t many cruise destinations that I haven’t at least considered visiting over the years, but Bermuda is one that I somehow haven’t made it to yet.

That may need to change.

Disney Cruise Line has just released its new Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, and tucked among all the exciting new options are several cruises to Bermuda. When I started looking more closely at them, I realized these aren’t simply another collection of Disney cruises. There are some genuinely interesting itineraries here.

And yes, I may be a little tempted myself!

Why Bermuda?

Let’s start with the obvious. Bermuda is beautiful.

Those famous pink-sand beaches and gorgeous blue water may be what first come to mind, but Bermuda offers much more than a beach day. There’s British influence, colorful architecture, historic sites, golf, water activities and a culture that’s quite different from the Caribbean islands many of us have visited numerous times.

And that’s worth pointing out. Bermuda isn’t in the Caribbean. It’s an Atlantic island destination, and a Disney cruise to Bermuda offers a very different experience from the typical Bahamas or Caribbean itinerary.

I’ve never been to Bermuda, so I’m not going to pretend to give you my list of favorite beaches, restaurants or secret spots. But after visiting dozens of countries and sailing on more cruises than I care to count, I still LOVE finding places that are completely new to me.

Bermuda is one of them.

Disney Wish Is Heading to Bermuda from New York

In Fall 2027, the Disney Wish will sail from New York City, and several of those cruises include Bermuda.

The Bermuda choices currently include:

September 29, 2027
4-night Bermuda cruise from New York

October 8, 2027
6-night Bermuda and Canada cruise from New York, including Bermuda and Halifax

October 14, 2027
5-night Bermuda cruise from New York

October 19, 2027
5-night Bermuda cruise from New York

October 31, 2027
5-night Bermuda cruise from New York ending in San Juan

Several of these are also Halloween on the High Seas cruises, so you can combine Bermuda with all the fun of celebrating Halloween aboard a Disney ship.

I particularly like the idea of sailing from New York. You could easily turn the cruise into a longer vacation with a couple of nights in Manhattan before boarding the Disney Wish. A Broadway show, a great dinner and a little sightseeing followed by a Disney cruise to Bermuda sounds like a pretty wonderful combination to me.

Then There’s March 2028…

This is the itinerary that REALLY caught my attention.

On March 18, 2028, the Disney Fantasy sails an 8-night roundtrip cruise from Fort Lauderdale.

The itinerary includes Bermuda, but Disney doesn’t stop there.

You’ll also visit Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point AND Disney Castaway Cay.

That means one vacation combines Bermuda with both of Disney Cruise Line’s Bahamian island destinations.

For my Georgia & Florida clients, I think this one is particularly interesting. There’s no flight to New York required, it’s a longer eight-night cruise, and the itinerary gives you a destination that isn’t on the typical Florida cruise itinerary.

It’s also aboard the Disney Fantasy, a ship I think offers a wonderful balance of classic Disney cruising and spaces for adults to enjoy.

What About Disney Adults?

This is another reason these Bermuda itineraries caught my attention.

I love Disney Cruise Line, and my very first cruise was aboard the Disney Magic. More than 20 Disney cruises later, I still think Disney does some things exceptionally well.

But you absolutely do NOT need to have young children to enjoy a Disney cruise.

Maybe your children are grown. Maybe you’re an empty nester. Maybe you’ve never had children. Maybe you’re retired and still love Disney just as much as you did 30 years ago.

There is no age limit on being a Disney Adult!

Disney ships offer adults-only restaurants, lounges, pools and other spaces, along with wonderful entertainment and Disney’s attention to service and detail. You can spend part of the day taking pictures with Mickey and then have an adults-only dinner at Palo or Remy that evening.

You get to decide just how much Disney you want in your Disney vacation.

Something Different from Disney

I think that’s ultimately what appeals to me most about these Bermuda cruises.

I already know I enjoy Disney Cruise Line. What I haven’t experienced is Bermuda.

Putting the two together gives someone like me the comfort and familiarity of a cruise line I know very well while still giving me someplace completely new to discover.

And isn’t that one of the best things about travel?

There should always be another place on the list.

For Fall 2027, you can experience Bermuda aboard the Disney Wish from New York, including several sailings during the Halloween season. Or, if you’d rather sail from Florida, that March 18, 2028 Disney Fantasy itinerary from Fort Lauderdale is one I’d take a very close look at.

Eight nights. Bermuda. Lookout Cay. Castaway Cay. Disney Fantasy.

I haven’t been to Bermuda…yet.

Maybe Disney Cruise Line just gave me the excuse I needed.
