ONBOARD THE DISNEY WISH: BRAND-NEW BROADWAY-STYLE SHOWS

Disney Cruise Line ships offer Broadway-style shows onboard, and these incredible live performances in the Walt Disney Theatre are filled with rousing musical performances, innovative theatrical design, artistic choreography, dazzling special effects, and favorite Disney friends. It’s so exciting to share not one, but two new original stage spectaculars onboard the Disney Wish. 

When guests take their seat in the Walt Disney Theatre on the first night of their voyage, they’ll experience a lively musical celebration, featuring a bevy of bold and brave Disney and Pixar characters. “Disney Seas the Adventure” begins with our very own Captain Minnie Mouse handing over the helm of the ship to her dear friend Goofy.

As Goofy embarks on a journey to discover his own inner captain, he encounters special friends who teach him valuable lessons, including Tiana who explains the importance of hard work during a lively performance of “Almost There” from Disney Animation’s “The Princess and the Frog” as well as Crush and Squirt who teach him how to “Go with the Flow”, just like they do in the world of Pixar’s “Finding Nemo.” Plus, heroines Elsa, Moana and Merida perform a powerful medley of “Into the Unknown,” “How Far I’ll Go” and “Touch the Sky.”

Developed exclusively for the Disney Wish, “Disney The Little Mermaid” is a unique stage adaptation of the original 1989 Disney Animation film. Guests might recognize the songs, scenes and characters, but this show has been reimagined in a delightful new way. The curtain opens on a group of modern-day storytellers, who happen to come across a treasure chest full of whozits and whatzits galore. From there, the audience becomes a part of Ariel’s world during an immersive story about independence, identity and love. With state-of-the-art puppetry, innovative script and a score full of surprises, this is a show the whole family will enjoy. 

From bow to stern, guests will find more enchanting offerings than ever before on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, including AquaMouse, the first Disney attraction at sea; family dining adventures themed to “Frozen” and Marvel; an immersive tour of the galaxy at Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge … plus two original Broadway-style stage productions, new deck parties, imaginative clubs for kids of all ages, an expanded collection of experiences exclusively for adults and, of course, spectacular fireworks at sea.

One of my fondest Disney memories is that of holding one of Walt Disney's personal Academy Awards while visiting the Walt Disney Archives in Burbank, CA. As my love of Disney grew, I began planning trips to Disney for my clients at my store, which grew into a new career! After a few years of both running my retail store and planning travel, I closed my brick & mortar store, moved to Vero Beach, Fl where I've been planning travel full-time now for over five years. Vero Beach has small-town charm with world-class luxury. It's an incredible place to live. I help take care of my parents here, and travel extensively with them. Together, we visit Disneyland and The Walt Disney World Resort often. I've planned tours in England, Scotland, Paris, Greece, Italy, Denmark, Ireland, & France including Disneyland Paris. Living in Vero Beach, where retirees seem to outnumber all other age groups, I've become an expert on helping people travel who are "young at heart". Living a short road trip away from the Orlando area, I visit the theme parks at Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando & Sea World often. Many times I'm there once a week! I've stayed at every Disney Resort in North America, toured every hotel at the Universal Resort, and have taken over 25 cruises, being a Platinum Castaway Cay member with Disney Cruise Line. I've cruised to the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Alaska, the Panama Canal, Trans-Atlantic (East & Westbound), Mediterranean & Northern Europe. Also, if you need restaurant recommendations, I've personally ate at most of the restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort & at the Disneyland Resort in Southern California. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort, and Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa is my favorite resort at Disneyland. I've attended various events at Walt Disney World such as: Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Star Wars Weekends, Disneyana Conventions, EPCOT's Food & Wine Festival, The Flower & Garden Festival and the new Festival of Arts.
