I’m inviting you to follow along as I traverse this beautiful country and tick off a major item from my travel bucket list: seeing the Matterhorn!

Exploring Switzerland with Globus Tours

Our adventure begins in Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city. Known for its vibrant arts scene, high-end shopping, and beautiful lakeside setting, Zurich is the perfect starting point. Lucerne: A Picturesque Swiss Gem

Next, we’ll head to Lucerne, a city that looks like it’s straight out of a fairy tale. With its stunning lake, medieval architecture, and the iconic Chapel Bridge, Lucerne is sure to enchant us. I’m particularly excited about taking a scenic boat ride on Lake Lucerne and visiting the Swiss Transport Museum.

Zermatt and the Majestic Matterhorn

One of the highlights of this tour, and a personal bucket list item, is visiting Zermatt and seeing the legendary Matterhorn. This iconic mountain has fascinated travelers for generations and even inspired Walt Disney to create the Matterhorn Bobsleds ride at Disneyland. I can’t wait to stand in awe of this majestic peak and explore the charming village of Zermatt, with its car-free streets and stunning alpine views.

Interlaken: Adventure Awaits

Our journey continues to Interlaken, nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Known as the adventure capital of Switzerland, Interlaken offers a plethora of outdoor activities. I’m looking forward to taking in the panoramic views from Harder Kulm and perhaps even trying out some thrilling activities like paragliding or a scenic train ride to Jungfraujoch, the “Top of Europe.”

Montreux and the Swiss Riviera

We’ll also visit Montreux, located on the shores of Lake Geneva and often referred to as the Swiss Riviera. Famous for its jazz festival and stunning lakeside promenade, Montreux is a place to relax and soak in the beauty. I’m excited to explore Chillon Castle and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the flower-lined promenade.

Geneva: A Hub of Diplomacy and Culture

Another stop will be Geneva, a city known for its international flair and cultural richness. Home to numerous international organizations, Geneva offers a unique blend of global influences. I’ll be visiting the United Nations headquarters, exploring the beautiful old town, and enjoying the serene beauty of Lake Geneva.
